An evening of music, performance art and visual art, hosted by Cena Berlim at the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin. On this day, a Brazilian national holiday celebrated annually to mark the Proclamation of the Brazilian Republic (November 15th, 1889), songs by César Guerra-Peixe (1914—1993), Nestor de Hollanda Cavalcanti and Luiz Bonfá (1922—2001) are performed in celebration of Brazilian music and society.
Together with Marcos Vinícius Vieira (piano) and Victor Santana (guitar), I will be performing Guerra-Peixe’s homage to Brazilian folklore and spirituality with songs such as “Rapadura” and “Mãe d’Água”, in a shared program with other artists.
Free admission with pre-registration online here. More info on the Cena Berlim website.
