Unwürdiges Kabarett (Cabaret Indigno)
“Cabaret Indigno” is an encounter between artists from Cancioneiro Queer and the actress, singer and pianist from São Paulo, Cida Moreira. Transiting through an eclectic repertoire, which goes from classical to popular, this scenic-musical show was a tribute to the songbook consecrated by the Dama Indigna (“Unworthy Lady”, name of Cida’s 2010 album), as well as to the Brazilian music from different historical periods. Songs from Brazilian Popular Music, from the Brazilian Musical Theatre, from the German Cabarets of the Weimar Republic (1919-1933), as well as the Modinhas Imperiais (1831) by the Afro-Brazilian composer Lino José Nunes (1789-1847), among others, were presented in a cabaret format.
Cartas para Bernstein
Cartas para Bernstein (“Letters for Bernstein”) was a one-night concert in honour of the centennial of North American composer Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990). Considered by critics as a musical genius, he was one of the first American composers to achieve global prestige, besides being recognised as one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. His famous songs, as well as other less known ones, were interpreted by Marcelo Kuna (tenor), Raissa Brannt (soprano), Leo Mendonza (baritone), Cēo Souza (bass-baritone) Fred Natalino (piano and musical arrangements) and Fausto Borém (double bass).
